ASAE's Association Management Company Accreditation program was designed to elevate professional standards and designate firms that demonstrated the knowledge essential to the practice of association management. The ASAE AMC Accreditation program assisted the association community by identifying the standards and criteria that are indicative of quality management service providers. This program recognized AMCs that met and adhered to these standards.

The AMC Institute (a trade association for association management companies, www.amcinstitute.org) has maintained an accreditation program for firms that meet the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) approved standard for good practices for the association management industry. In response to feedback from AMC consumers and the AMC community, a transition to a single AMC Industry Accreditation will be completed by the end of 2010.
